How many of you run in sunglasses? Race, workouts, or easy runs?
What have you found to be the best?

Old Briko's, cycling style. Far superior to anything else, especially Nike or Oakely.
Mostly for long runs in the sun.
I wear the convenience store "knock offs" that are < $15. I had a history of losing and breaking sunglasses, so for ~$15 I'm not too worried. Mile High Flea Market has some really nice looking knock offs for about the same price - or less - and they come with the Nike Swoosh or the Oakley symbol - they receive quite a few complimnets. ;-)
When I know I'm going to be dealing with bright sun--particularly on the return leg of a summer run--I wear a pair of fantastic "Triathalon" sunglasses that I bought a month ago at WalMart. $16.95. I can't believe anybody would spend $100+ for a name-brand variety, given the superb job these do.
i have a pair of nikes that work really well. i'll wear them for LRs, workouts, and races if the sun's out.
Always wear sun glasses. Not only do they help with glare etc., but they keep deerflies etc out of your eyes.
I have a pair of Native Eyeware that I like. Had two pairs of Nikes, and the Native are much better.
... also, I wear them during workouts, races, etc. We get > 330 days of sun, and there aren't many trees on the plains (Denver, Boulder, etc) in Colorado.
I have to run in sunglasses if there is even a little bit of sun, which happens quite frequently here in Colorado. I found out the hard way in HS, that if I don't run in sunglasses I get a migraine which thus turns into me puking from the pain. I guess it is just from squinting into the sun. I have light blue eyes, so I am sure that has something to do with it. Now I run in Smith's, and like the option of the interchangeable lenses, so I can use them on overcast days but still see definition on the trail. Basically I look for a small, and lightweight frame, mostly in case I end up carrying them and because they fit into my shoe when I pack my running gear.
I've worn cheap ones in the past and have had terrible luck with them. They don't stay on my face as I am running. Are they called "Triathlon"? I saw IronMan ones at Target that seemed decent.

I run all the time in Rudy Project Rydons. I have 2 sets of lenses for bright and cloudy days.
I'm always amazed to hear people trust their eyes to cheap sunglasses to save $100. Next time you are at the eye doctor ask him about the differences in lenses and UV filtering properties. Just because they cut the glare, it doesn't mean all the bad stuff is blocked out.
I've got a pair or Ryders (the Shot style) that are great. Races, workouts, easy runs? I don't see why that would matter. Sunny/cloudy seems more important in my mind.
I run in either of a couple of pairs of 180s. Great glasses.
you can get $15 sunglasses that protect against all wavelengths of UV light. The technology isn't too complicated. The manufacturers are required to indicate the level of protection so it's not hard to find a cheap pair that's safe.
I am no expert on the matter, but what you get for +100 dollars is something that does more than filter out the light. It blocks the UV rays and all kinds of other stuff. I've don't really understand it all but the bottom line is I guess are you over paying yes...are you getting a hell of allot more than what your 15 dollar wal-mart brand offers, yes. Besides we're an elitist society go for the money glasses.
Everyone talk crap now...
I run in the Nike V-Cadence glasses I like them. They were only 40 at the Nike outlet....

Ditto. My eyes are extremely sensitive to light, and fit is far more important to me than style. I spent $25 on a pair that have lasted for years.
I have very sensitive (very light blue) eyes, but I find sunglasses completely irritating. I think it's because I never wore them when I was a kid- running or otherwise. They just feel unnatural. I wear a cap if it's really sunny, sunglasses if it just snowed and it's sunny outside.
I wear a nice pair of Nike running sunglasses when I do wear them- my rich uncle gave them to me for Christmas four years ago. I keep them under lock and key so they don't get broken or lost.
$16.95 for sunglasses? Man, you yuppies crack me up. Who would pay that much for glasses? I'm a real runner and I keep it real. When it's sunny I just put a plastic Mountain Dew bottle in the pocket of my cotton shirt, then hold it up to my eyes when I run into the sun. I'm sure the green blocks out all the sun......dudes. You don't need all that fancy stuff dudes, just run dudes.
I wear the Ironman ones that Target sells for $19.99 when I run and they stay put on your face.
No point in spending $100+ on something when $20 will do, especially since you WILL break them or lose them at some point.
