My Cross Country practices start on August 14, with racing starting right away in September and finishing up in middle to late October. I'm in my base phase right now, and have been doing some lactate threshold work once a week because I've heard that lactate threshold takes a while to peak. My question is should I start V02 Max training now? 800m repeats at 3k pace?
If not, when should I begin my VO2 Max training? (Asking my coach isn't an option, as most people that post here seem to say.)
