Thank you for the identification. Did you ever run the 5 Mills race?
I think I ran it in 1979 or 80,I am not sure,I think they have it every winter season. If I ran, I didnt win it or I was too far ahead and got lost on the way.

Henry,
If you were to run a one mile race on the track in the next week or so, what would you expect your time to be?

Next on February,it will be between 5:10-5:21 minutes for the mile.I feel much better than last years performances.Considering I have not done intervals around the track yet.Just hill repeats now.
This morning 21mwp + 42mhc + 14mcd =77 minutes,then weight exercise 15 minutes + 20 minutes dry sauna.The training is way better than last year.

I love my evening section training it gives me an edge of running thirst after I hit 32 minutes on a treadmill, before I had exercise weight for 15 minutes each + 18 minutes dry sauna.I dropped a bucket of sweats and that equate weight lost. I know I will put it back after I eat and drink alot of water.
I will sleep through night very deep and soundly and surely enough let old muscles grow young.

hi, henry...hope to see you in san diego next month, i hope you will be fit and ready. (or as best that can be expected in February, very early in the season). I hope that you have lost or are in process of losing that 25 extra lbs you were carrying around last season. Don't kid yourself about that extra weight, my friend. You have any idea how well you could run this year if you got your weight down to 150 lbs or so? Please don't kid yourself regarding this very important part of your potential masters success.

This morning section run:19mwp + 39mhc + 11mcd = 69 minutes,it was great morning,I never run that fast before in this course.I will tell you later about the evening section.I tell you what? With all these cross sessions of training it makes me so powerfull like an animal.

Hope to see you in San Diego next month. We all know how well you did in cross country...but did you like it or just run it because you had to, for WSU?
Dear Henry,
How is your effort to race in San Diego coming?? Does USA T $ F say 'OK'. Under three weeks to go.
Your Comrade,
RussianBear
yes, Mr Rono; if you are running, I will come down to watch and buy your book and get autograph. I have 2 cover pictures of you from T & F News and RW from 1978, running in hills of your college area, I assume, wearing your WSU jersey.

Jim never reply my call because I wanted the race director to organize everything in two weeks for the books to be in place before due date.
I am in good shape to run in the meet by then. What is the distance? Is it a 5k or 10k?
My workout:37mwp + 25mhc + 18mcd =78 minutes + 12 exercise weights + 20 minutes dry sauna.
Evening section 60 minute run + 15 minutes exercise weights + 27 minutes treadmill + 21 minutes dry sauna.
I will have another deep sleep to night.

I am doing coaching clinic/questions and answers and book signing,I wise they have one mile time trial that day.I will jump in it, so fast and come out with great time. I am good shape no kidding.
Henry
it sounds like you are on schedule to run close to 17 flat for Carlsbad 5k, April 5th? You ran 17:45 or so last year and were 25 lbs overweight. Without all that weight this year, you will really surprise all of those doubters who thought you were not serious about your running and racing. I will cheer the loudest for you!
