I am a senior in high school. This will be my third year of cross country. I have done fairly well, but really want my senior year to be good. I put in reasonable milage - summer of Malmo vintage. I am fairly short and have a very short stride length. My coach has told me that I need to lenghten it, but hasn't given me a clue how to do this. My father says that if I put in the milage, stride length should take care of itself. He also said that perhaps striders down a small incline may help. Should I do some form of drill or should I just continue to run? Should I even worry about this?
