hello i am a high school runner and i sprained my ancle playing basketball yesterday. it was very swollen and sore so i went to the doctor today. she told me that i cant run for at least 3 weeks and maybe up to 6 or 8 weeks. i am very worried because i wanted to build my mileage up this summer so could have a great xc season.
i usually post on dyestat but there isnt that much about dealing with injuries so i decided to turn to letsrun.
i have two questions....
1. What can i do to stay in shape?...i was thinking about aquajogging and stationary bike but that can get very boring so new ideas are welcome.
2. How much is this going to affect my xc season and even track season?...i know there are some variables in this question, mainly how long exactly am i going to be not running.
any advice or help is much aprecciated, thank you.
