Hello Forum, I've recently starting running again in October of 2025. I took 12 years off. During my early 40's I ran 17:30 for 5k, 82 minutes for the 1/2 and 2:58 for the marathon. 7 minute pace was very comfortable. I understand that I am older but as of today I am no way near running high 7's. It feels like I am sprinting when I run that pace. It's depressing.
I would think at that after 7+ months of training I would be further along. Do any master's runners have any tips? I just can't get off the ground with power. I'm ~10 pounds heavier but it can't be all that. Any advice would be appreciated.
