I am a D2 college runner training in Northern Nevada for the summer at ~5000ft just back from first year of college at sea level in Washington. I am having trouble I am obviously experiencing many new stressors on my body between about a 20 degree temp increase and altitude. So I looked up the weather in Ethiopia, Kenya and Morrocco expecting to find consolation in the fact that the best in the world train in hot weather too, but found average temp on those places between 65-75 degrees! Obviously Kellogg says 8000 ft is where altitude is best but Ethipia runs at only 7700, Kenya and Morrocco at only 6000 something in most places. Just wondering what people think about training location, weather, alt. etc.
Guess Im looking for a discussion more than a definitive answer.
