No. But her 10.6's were legit.
Time was legitimate. She blew everyone away. As for the wind, I was on that side of the track and my hair (what there is of it) was being tossed around pretty good. No way it was 0.0 mps. I don't believe it was below 2.0, and I bet you there are several thousand who agree.
I don't know if that will ever be answered. Obviously the wind gauge wasn't working. I'm not in tune with that stuff but if knowledgeable people that are claim that the wind wasn't so strong to be illegal I'll go with it.
But records normally get thrown out if there is a questionable procedure. Same with DUI's. If the cops don't follow procedures to a "T" a good lawyer can get someone off, whether he or she was legally drunk or not.
Actually in my opinion there isn;t a single legit womans record out there but with the evidence to dismiss then they should stay. I'm talking about all of them. Hell, probably mens too, but definitely womans.
Yeah, Kochs's woman's 400m WR is insane...

but, so is radcliffe's marathon record ... much more insane, at least we know what marita was on, so not that surprising given ...
There is a video of flo jo's record you can download and when they are in the blocks you can see their hair gusting all around them it is blatently obvious there was a huge wind there.

But what is not blatantly obvious is the DIRECTION of the wind. A crosswind could theoretically be blowing at 10m/s and still register as negligible on the wind guage used to record wind speed PARALLEL TO THE 100M.
I was at the track that day, too, and no way the wind was legal. It was screaming down the homestretch. One of the horizontal jumps was going on at the same time (parallel to the homestretch) and I believe there was not a single jump with wind under 2.0. Zero point zero? Come on. That's obviously a malfunction or unadmitted human error. Also, if I remember right, almost everybody in the race PR'd.

I'll echo all that, I was there too. It was a windy time, no question. But do not forget that ran a fully legit 10.6 something either later that day or the next day. I even then wrote a note in my program, " now there is a legit time, not the 10.49."
As to being on the juice, well, that's another story. Probably, yes.
