Anyone else blow away by Gabe's time?
Anyone else blow away by Gabe's time?
I sure our hippie friend blew himself up with that one. Lukezic as well. They won't be able to repeat that in the finals.
I dunno, maybe Manzano will finish 2nd? Lagat is sure to win.
I disagree, they did what so many (like the Third heat) don't do. They ran fast and garaunteed advancement. I'll bet they can at least repeat the performance, if not get better. Remember Gabe has marathon strength in him (plus the strength that come from a multi-continental bike trip).
what time did he run?
3:39
I notice Jon Rankin's doubling.
And what's wrong with Charlie Gruber?
Ahmed is a dick.

Maybe you should change your name to nut job. Like 3:39 is a fluke for either of those guys??? It's not as if we're talking about some chumps who just PR'd.
Awesome by Gabe!!!!!!!!!! 3:39 in n the trials...wow...what's his PR - like 3:34 from 2000?
Anyone know why no Stephen Pifer?
I haven't been keeping up...
all running events will be won by my people with exception of sc and possibly 400,Legat cold win by 25 m if he wants to.
Your people? Why not just call them OUR people? - Americans. I'm white and never called other whites my people. It looks like the race issue goes both ways in many cases?
sorry satch, i heard webb really scratched so that he could begin his 200 career.
19.65, watch out.
Impressive run by Gabe. I hope he's back. BTW, his PR's 3:35. Anyway, the Jeffersons running either a near PR or 3:50's is becoming semi-ridiculous. Our coach used to tell us an inconsistent runner is a mental strength issue.
Oh yea, my PR's are better than the Jeffersons in case someone wants me to apologize because I'm not as fast. So I can say what I want.

Ok I finally got the internet working.
The highlight of my day was a near fight between Lunn and Ahmed after their eat. I heard Ahmed say he would "punch Lunn in the face". Lunn told him to get away. Then Drew Griffin stepped between them. This was all in the area on the track right after the finish. I tried to talk to Jason about it aferwards but lost him when he went to get water.
Nice ttc...I think the Jeffersons might just not be into racing any longer - I know of many stars that once they don't have that team around them they just lose their drive to train and perform.
And thanks for stopping all the "He's faster than you so you can't say anything" folks that don't make sense are really bother me. I never understood how some folks actually think that's a valid argument?
I guess if the above were true, all the sports writers out there better get other jobs because I'll bet the athletes they're writing and critiquing are more than likely better than them...

We shouldn't pass judgment, but I'm 100% sure it was Ahmed's fault. :)

OK, I'll change my name to Nut Job and you change your name to Hand Job.
There is no way that Gabe will repeat his 3:39 in the finals. It was a great performance by Gabe, but he can't do it again so soon. That's like the best time in 8 years, no?
Lukezic *might* be able to equal or beat his 3:38. But I doubt it. Has he ever run two races that good in close succesion? I don't think so.
We'll see...
