In my opinion, Phil Sesemann has a very good diet in overall!
If you logging +200km week after week, your body is craving for calories!
You can´t compare Phil with an average person. Then it´s a good advice to cut on sugars and carb rich sources. But in Phils case, he NEEDS IT! You can´t create power without energy! With energy comes calories. Period!
And besides that, he eats a lot av Avocado, Milk, Rice, eggs, Banana, Honey, Oats, Salmon, Peanut butter, Berriers etc. What´s wrong with that? Nothing! Very nutrient dense.
This diet is much better than the Kenyan diet, which mostly is based on white bread, Tea and sugar, Ugali (a thick sludge made of corn, yummy....), beans (did someone fart? or did someone mention high, biovailable protein source? nope, you need to combine it with rice to get the full amino acid profile) and this vegetable called "zukuma wiki". No wonder most af the Kenyan athletes sleep all day between sessions. They have no energy besides the training. Typical slave diet.
