Haven’t been able to find any videos of the race sadly. I’m sure Allie will have a video up with some clips from the race in a few days though!
Happy for her. I really hope she runs a track 10000 sometime soon. I'd love to see what she can do on the track now after that run on a very hilly, wet course. She won some good money too. $4000 for the win and $750 for the course record. Congrats to her!

It's surprising the 1st place payout was that strong and there weren't more elite runners that showed up. Jessa Hanson, Kellyn Taylor and Stephanie Bruce were all a minute or more back. Usually $4k will attract more talent.

I really love her. She is a great role model and she brings so much fun and humor to the sport. Her jokes about herself when she ran down Jess McClain at the half marathon championships were so funny. I am always glad to see her do well. She has worked so hard to be where she is now.
Congrats to her! Allie is super easy to root for, I think she’s a great role model for teen girls/ young women in the sport, and her recent success hammers all of her points about diet, EDs and body image home.
I participated- it was a tough day on a hilly course. The hills lasted until mile 4, and the downhills were steep. A few moments I thought I was going to slip and eat it. 32:40 is insanely good, and it makes me feel embarrassed about my time!
I'm happy for Allie. I live in Austin and the Cap 10K is a really hilly course. It was also warm and super humid yesterday. Typically when there's an influencer on the course here in Austin it's Nick Bare or Matt Choi so it's nice to see a shoetuber who's not a total f***ing chode out there.
If I were Allie, I would move up to the Marathon this year (maybe try to win one of the fast regional ones like Indianapolis or Philadelphia). She's had success on the roads and has run a few decent HMs. If she wants to make national teams, the 2027 World Marathon Team is a good target and less competitive than the steeple or anything else on the track. Also, people (mostly women) trying to BQ, finish a marathon, break 4 hours, etc are probably the biggest market for her influencer content so it would be good for her brand

It was the first year with new prize structure. Cherry Blossom was the same date and Boston was 8 days away which created some conflicts for many - especially if there was pre-planning to go to those races. Nevertheless, the invigorated commitment to a great race will grow the elite fields in the future. Besides -- a weekend in Austin ain't so bad!
Fwiw 70 degrees + full humidity. Biggest uphill is after 2 miles to mile 3. Race ends with a net downhill. Seems like a strong run. Think she can definitely do well in road races like this (hilly/10 miles & under/tough conditions). She should think about some of the classic spring/summer road races- Bay2Breakers, Bloomsday, Bolder Boulder, Peachtree, Boilermaker, Falmouth, Beach2Beacon, etc. Gate River would've been a good race for her. Seems like she has room to get a lot better at the half based on her 3k-10k results. Might be a sweet spot for her just racing under that distance, but still 10k & up.

I second that emotion. Allie does her social media right! Instead of focusing on self promoting or pushing products, she tells the story of her experiences and emotions - the good, the bad, the funny, and the sad - with humility, and her video documentation with commentary is exceptional - full of great insights and reflections on what's going through her mind in the moments we're viewing.
