Ingebrigtsen's agent Daniel Wessfeldt just gave an update on his status. Said Jakob won't race in May or June, so no Bislett Games (June 10). European Championships in Birmingham (August 10-16) still an option if recovery goes well.
As an aside, I thought Jakob's holder brother, Henrik Ingebrigtsen, had replaced Wessfeldt as agent? Did I get that wrong, or did J already change agents back?

It takes 8 solid weeks for aerobic to come back, and I guess 5 weeks to get up to speed todo solid aerobic work, and another 6 weeks to amp up speed. and then be a B version of self.
Everyone stop analyzing Jackob's every move. I am sure him and his team are doing everything possible to come back most importantly injury free and in top shape. No rush its not a championship year

How he was able to look like a lost puppy in his 1500 prelims to “only” placing 10th in 13:02 in the 5k was so impressive. He had far from an ideal ramp up and he still managed a 13:02.
He might not ever get to his 7:17 shape, but he is ungodly talented in the 5k with his aerobic engine. I’m confident we will see him back in the 12:40s, and I hope he can get back in form to flirt with the world record.
The best global championship 1500m racer of this generation.
Golds: Tied with four other guys who have won exactly one outdoor championship this decade. Ingebrigsten, Wightman, Kerr, Hocker, Nader. One each.
Medals: Jakob has more top-3s than anyone: 2021 gold, 2022 silver, 2023 silver. Jakob's championship 1500m hardware is unmatched by any active runner. (Kerr's medal record is 2021 bronze, 2023 gold, 2024 silver.)
Not a single man has won two global championship 1500s, since...Asbel Kiprop.
With world champs next year, they will surely realize that top level competition is out of the question for him this year because it would cause him to push too hard with meager results and a high chance of reinjury of some kind, most likely achilles or calf. I hate to see him go two years between top flight results but this is just the nature of injury and the vast gulf between being wheeled around and battling the big dogs in paced and championship races.

His medals are matched by Tim (gold, 2x silvers). Maybe you are saying they are different generations but considering Tim matched Jakobs Paris finish in Tokyo last year that seems odd.
