It's a great time, especially for early in the outdoor season.
Hopefully she stays healthy; could be a very good race vs. Blair Bartlett and Natalia Dudek at Nike Outdoor Nationals in June.
Given her very light frame, I thought for months she would be injured, but she seems to have found the training and racing volume to avoid injuries.
Katy Zang's 9:37.15 indoor from March 13 is a better time, but she is recovering from a stress fracture and may not be fully recovered by June to be in that race.
This girl is a sad situation. She needs help and it seems her inner circle isn’t anywhere near agreeing. They bully everyone and anyone who expresses concern on the socials. Not gonna end good

I worry so much about her. People think it is fine because she is winning, but the consequences are cumulative. It is so sad because she lost her mom and is in grief and no one close to her seems to see the problem.

I just googled him, but I didn't find any information.

I didn’t know her mom passed away until someone posted that in this thread.
I did find some info on that online though. Her mom passed away over 2 years ago. It’s crazy that she has accomplished so much since then. I‘ve never heard of her back then.

After reading this comment, I looked at her photos on Insta. Whoa. Has she been evaluated by a physician? Her Mom passed away 2 years ago. She has a father, coach and teachers.!

I wish nothing but the best for this athlete and hope they overcome what could be an inevitable problem if it isn’t already.
I'm am of the opinion that we shouldn't celebrate and normalize eating disorders. It creates a contagion where other girls see that as the way to success and fame. They don't see the other side of it and how short lived that success is.

I'm worried. I haven't seen any posts from her dad or Averi herself, or any race results, in the past two to three weeks. She missed an important meet as well, so I don't think she's simply resting (though possibly!). Hope she's okay.

Who celebrates eating disorders? I haven’t seen a single LR post where someone has said they considered these girls to look normal.
If there are people celebrating anorexia, they must be partying over alcoholism and drug addiction as well.

You're taking the word "celebrates" far too literally. There are people who will constantly claim that being underweight and too thin is "the ideal runner's body". It's misguided, misinformed people.

She didn't run her regional meet, so I do not see her entries for the state meet next week.
