I need to make a correction in what I wrote.

I was ribbing super Patriots fan Jonathan Gault about this whole thing and he wrote back that he too was shocked but for a different reason. He understands the historical and shocking nature of this better than me.

1) Historically the patriots star coach has hated the media
2) Historically the patriots star coach has preferred women half of Russini's age.

I have no problems with their behavior but then again I have libertarian political leanings.

Why does this matter to you?
Because these are wealthier, high profile people?

People cheat on their spouses all the time and it's never in the news.

What do you guys and gals think? Should I change this to a running related thread? Let's figure out how good was she at track.

Dianna ran an 8:16 mile in kindergarten and she was naturally good at running, like the most talented ever, but she hated it.

Marriage is an archaic custom, a bad deal for men especially in 2026. Take coach for example, if he wouldn't have gotten married he could be with anybody at any time. Now Jen is going to get paid. Looks like 27 years of marriage, wallet about to be half lighter mike. That's gonna hurt. LOL

Based on her alma mater, I guess it’s no surprise he was “tappan” her.

As a patriots fan, I just hope she’s taking care of Vrabel properly. I don’t find her very attractive so that’s a little disappointing but whatever. As long as coach is happy and getting this team prepared, that’s all that matters.

Leave people alone dude.

I really HATE posts like this. Young and single people see things like this and believe it. Thank goodness for the upvote/down vote stuff.

Getting rid of marriage would be like the modern ncaa - terrible. I view marriage as like picking a sports team. You have yoru team. And you love them through the good times and bad. The idea of waking up every morning and thinking "Which of these 30 teams do I want to root for ? Will they root for me back" is awful.

Marriage is fine for some people but not all. People who push either side act like they have a point to prove, like they have to justify their choices even to strangers.

My sister is trapped in an awful marriage and would get out if she didn’t have to pay her hubby spousal support bc she earns more, but not enough to sustain two households. That’s my context.

I think the custom itself is fine, should be fairly non threatening. But on the other side of the ledger is that it is kind of unnatural and way too binding financially forever. Nobody should lose half of everything they worked for plus 100s of thousands in supporting the family law ecosystem just because two people want to go their separate ways. Divorce shouldn't be an industry. Or so Ive heard.

I don’t see why people take pleasure in these kinds of things. What a waste. I also hate that he’s a mentor to Drake Maye, who is (somewhat) newly married to his high school sweetheart.

Maybe Maye will see this and the pending trail of ruin and learn from it.

But the main thing here is the whole situation just seems exhausting. Maybe I just run too much, but I couldn’t imagine the energy needed to deal with the outcome of something like this, let alone trying to sneak around behind my wife’s back.
