these guys were local back about 20 years ago or so. I heard one song (I think it was this one actually) on a great alternative radio station and of course checked it out, and liked their other stuff too.
As you can see, this YouTube vid has only 187 views, and that's not many.
My dad clued me n2 a pretty great band from way bck n the day called Rolling Stones. They were legends for thur time but have been basically forgotten. My friends mostly love stuff like Marshmello and PinkPantheress and I played them Sympathy for the Devil and they were like wtf?? Lol. Mike Jager had a g8 voice tho.
J Roddy Walston and the Business are great. I came across them as a Spotify recommendation. Imo, they have a lot of great songs, but according to Spotify this is the most popular but Brave Man's Death, Heavy Bells, You Know Me Better, Same Days, and Take It As It Comes are also great. Honestly, I pretty much love it all.
This is a real gem of a song, like most, heard in passing on an altenative radio station. I guess Richard Buckner has a devoted cult following, but is not well known.
Likwise, I liked Iggy Pop and the Stooges and couldn't listen to them enough. In the 90's Iggy did a big touring stint and couldn't get the original members back, so he pulled in this heavy metal guitarist Whitey Kirst. Touring's over, and Whitey goes on to produce some good heavy metal of his own.
It must be said, Iggy pulling in a heavy metal guitarist rather than a more proto- punk one was met with some consternation from diehards at the time.
