says cross training when fit is "very strange" and that if "anybody thinks they're good at running because they're swimming, then they don't know what they're doing".
high running volume is the best way to improve and that's how he got to this level but if you're creeping up on year 2 of getting smoked by injuries then perhaps it's time to use alternative methods of maintaining volume.
How does he recover from all this volume?
