Question in the title. Hard if not impossible to find someone who is an awesome match for you in every way. What if you find someone who is a "good enough" match for you in most areas but just okay in others too? Anyone here like that? Can you still he happily married to someone like that, raise a family, etc? Would like to hear personal experiences if possible.
Yes. 18+ years, three kids. Marriage takes work and can be difficult. We probably don’t look like couples on tv or in movies who profess to be “soulmates.” And we’ve grown in different ways over the years but we continue to love and support each other and try to raise our kids to be good people. It’s life.
Seriously, this is correct. The idea of a soulmate is a fantasy. People are individuals and couples need to accept each others differences or the relationship will fail. Obviously some people are more compatible together, but the idea that there is one perfect soulmate out there for you is a fantasy that can poison an otherwise good healthy relationship.

True, wives can be a good bit adversaries as friends. You’d never bother letting the conversation go in certain directions with friends even under conflict because it is easier to just distance yourself than pour your hurt heart out while blaming the other person and slobbering tears and all that fun stuff.

Happiness is overrated. Contentment is what you need, should aspire for, and all that longterm cohabiting couples can expect.
