I am preparing for a half marathon in about six weeks' time and am planning to run in Alphafly 3s. This will be my first go at racing in super shoes and am wondering what kind of "break-in" period is necessary.
For reference, when I would race in normal trainers, I would run one workout in them (16 km total) exactly a week before race day and then not wear them until the race. I presume carbon plated shoes would be not much different but would rather not attempt anything foolish going into a big race. Is more/less mileage sufficient when supershoes are in question and how far out should I break into them (1 wk, 2 wk, 1 month, etc.)?
