So inspiring. Shows all the losers and haters who the greatest runner is.

Did anybody check his bag for syringes?
Greatest runner who had to dope to be relevant in D1, got caught, and transferred to avoid repurcussions
he's the new Evert Silva!
Jokes aside, it's so obvious that he is a cheater after reading his backstory. Huge breakout race at Nuttycombe catapulting him into D1 All-American contention and then gets kicked off the team a week later. Then all the accusations by his former Iowa State teammates. I get that he doesn't want to waste all the fitness the drugs gave him but doing it in D3 is just sad and embarrassing. He should admit his mistakes and join the enhanced games if he wants to get any respect back.
What a joke the NCAA has become. Also, what happened to Leblond? I didn't expect to see him finish that far back, even though he hasn't had a great indoor season. Good for Anthony Clark, though.

Leblond and Isaiah Hammerand both tried to go with the doper, stuck with him for about a mile then died off.
Alex Phillip was a veery respectable runner, to have his record broken by someone so obviously dirty is just sad. Amid all the speculation and the article recently released he goes on to solo a super fast time to basically wag his finger in everyone's face like "you can't prove it". He came through 3k in 8:07, Alex Phillip's 3k record is 7:53. To have so many people say he was using EPO and for him to get removed from team for using banned substances should be enough to have the NCAA say "you're not running this meet, sorry kid"
It's sad that the Division III winner was about half a second faster than the Division I winner. Has SC ever beat Langon or Samuel in a race? I for one hope they're testing at the DIII nationals this weekend.

Evert’s too much of an airhead to dope; anyways don’t forget Talbi would mog him 😭
He's just some self-centered 20-year old who's probably gonna burn out or get pushed out of the sport sooner or later.
The adults in the room are the coaches and athletic staff at Rowan, who are introducing themselves to the world as some real principled, stand-up people... I'm just saying I don't think I'd send my kid there anymore, it's a bad look that their administration would allow this
Also, contrast him with Tor-Hotung Davidsen - the Lynchburg transfer who just won the DMR title as a fifth-year with NAU. He embodies a lot of what's great about D3 running, said he was fueled by always coming up just short with his team in the DMR. Seems like a great example of how team-oriented the culture of D3 is. While he's bringing the best of D3 to D1, Clevenger is bringing the most toxic parts of D1 into D3 - a win at all costs, totally individual-focused persona.
This is simply so disrespectful, and it shows that Clevenger has no idea what Division III is really about.
The purpose of D3 is to celebrate the essence of the sport, uncorrupted by money or fame. We run because we love it, and because we love the process of self-improvement. We know we're not the best. There's a necessary humility when you run in D3, which makes success all the more satisfying.
To me, it's more offensive that Clevenger is doping in D3 rather than in D1. While I certainly still detest it, I can understand doping when scholarship money and professional contracts are on the line. But what does Clevenger gain by setting juiced D3 records and winning illegitimate titles?
Among a small circle of unscrupulous friends, he'll likely win some admiration. But in the broader American running community, he'll be derided and scorned as the guy who had to dope to win a D3 title. As a poster in the now-deleted thread said, he's chasing status and clout in a division that doesn't have any.
All he's done is torpedo his future in the sport, tarnish two schools' reputations, and corrupt the purity of an otherwise clean division.
This may be a textbook example of how peptides and EPO can provide a short-term performance boost that elevates an athlete to the next level, with some of those gains persisting even after the drugs are discontinued. I would be 99% sure he is not doping now, but that earlier boost may have helped propel him to a higher level of performance.
There’s another irony, which is that few people (1) would know enough about our sport to fully appreciate the what it means to win a diii 5k title, or run 13:33, but also (2) not know about the doping accusations. This will end up being a pretty hollow accomplishment.
I know at the DII level all winners were tested and a random selection from the field for all events. Not to say that he'd pop because if he is cheating whatever was being used is likely out of his system by now, but this proves the gains from EPO (If that is what he took) don't just go away when you stop
So disappointed in the NCAA, especially those in power at the D3 level. In the world of NIL, foreign athletes with questionable ages, etc. Division 3 is one of the last places that’s pure college amateur student athletes.
Seth is such a disgrace to this sport. As is Rowan. Seth, you’ll only be considered a cheater. Never a champion.
