I'm a pole vaulter, but my question is definitely running-related. I have the beginnings of tendonitis in my left knee, and when I was running yesterday (I run 2-3 miles a few days a week in the offseason), I noticed that I lean heavily to my left side and dip my left shoulder while running. I think this has to do with running with a pole (I'm right handed, so it means I carry the pole across my body, tilted to the left) and that I've developed a bad habit and now run this way all the time. I'm sure that this is not helping the tendonitis at ALL. Does anyone have any ideas on ways to improve my posture or exercises to help correct it? Thanks...
