16 year-old Dillon Mitchell who last week got 7th at USAs in the 60m (in the pro race) just ran 9.88 for 100m with a 5.8m/s wind.
(that's equal to 10.10 according to the wind calculator we use)
then in the 200 he ran 20.22 but got beat by another high schooler who ran 19.90
A 16 YEAR OLD JUST RAN 9.88 IN THE 100m. @CEKing_Football’s Dillon Mitchell, 16-year-old high school sophomore, just BLAZED THHE TRACK running 9.88 in the 100m?
That conversion doesnt seem like it has enough kick imo. I'd bet he's closer to a 10.15 type fitness currently. But it being March, hell almost certainly be capable of 10.1 basic later this year. Maybe even just a month from now, frankly. But a 10.1 conversion off a +5.8? The math's doesn't seem as legit on that convert to me. I checked it myself on that calc, for sure...but I stand by my 10.15ish at best. For now, anyway.
Seems like most of the times these guys amount to nothing. I'm sure they are filled with juices that won't be allowed in professional races. Or the NCAA, if they were to ever test someone.
the drug abuse is at an epidemic level in Texas. Coaches passing out peptides needles. The weekly run to the border by drug mules for various steroids, not Taco Bell. Some notable names prevalent in pushing usage. Too much money involved with football players seeking big NIL deals. USADA purposely turning a blind eye to it all. I sent Travis Tagert names and evidence from Florida to Texas to Pacific NW months ago. Crickets.

I don't think the conversion calculators work well for winds that are much above 2 m/s.

These types of performances from a man child seem to be a dime a dozen in the US. It's the awkwardly gangly adolescents like Bolt and Gout that have the greater potential.
