Appropriate finish for a flatlining program that is DOA. Makes it easy to announce decision in a couple weeks that the program will be discontinued in June. Sad days in Westwood. But now the football team has a spot for an on campus stadium.

UCLA has been bad for 10+ years so I don't understand why a 2nd year coach is taking all the heat.
The Big Ten is a stacked conference, many of the top 20 teams in the nation are in it. UCLA was only 3 points behind Washington, and people here worship the Washington coaches.
But you have to give the UCLA women credit for a good meet, they got 6th beating Penn State, Michigan, Ohio State, and more big teams.
You all gotta find another scapegoat outside of everything being dei. While I'm not making any excuse for their teams performance, since I think they've been underachieving for years.....some coaches get hired because of what they've done as an athlete or what they've done as an athlete AND coach. I've done more as a coach than Aries Merritt and Carmelita Jeter, but I sure as hell haven't broken a world record or been one of the fastest people in my event. I'm not picking on them but they fit the basic requirements for being dei by the letsrun standards. Non-white and non-male. Since after all, we know that every white, former athlete that's a coach is absolutely killing it.
