This is the equivalent of Hobbs Kessler running 1:43 at the Olympic trials and everybody overreacting that he can possibly win Olympic gold in the 1500m in a tactical race 😂
Like Cole has something to prove? Cole ran 1:45 at GST last year. He has bigger fish to fry than worrying about what slow pace kick Nader does.
The race was more of a sign that Nader is maybe in 90% shape. He broke 1:44 last year outdoors and this one he mostly hugged the rail, didn’t really make moves, and pretty much maxed out at 1:45.0. Similar to not closing a 3:32 strong the other day.
The other note was Ben Pattison somehow did worse tactics than the other day.

Are you ignorant? Cole lost in his main event all year last year. He isn’t the top dog anymore. He needs to reclaim his glory by beatijg Nader st World Indoors.

Such a stupid take. Cole just ran a new AR 3:45 and the second fastest all time behind that Norwegian science experiment. Not the top dog anymore? Nice joke. He doesn’t need to beat Nader. Cole is the Olympic champion and world 5k champion. Nader needs to beat Cole by showing he can actually beat Cole instead of relying on Cole to be unfairly DQd. Nader sucks.

LOL. What a pathetic take. Cole embarrassed himself last year in the 1500m by DQing himself after a horrible season at 1500m. Running a fast indoor mile doesn't change that. Nader doesn't give a crap about the 5k and he is happy at home knowing he took the crown from Hocker, not that it needed much effort. Cole knows he isn't the topdog anymore and that is why he is targeting the World Indoor double. Before calling other takes stupid maybe take a look at yours delusional fanboy.

Nader seems like a speed based guy so the fact that he lead the last 1000m in the 3k a few weeks back (in a new PB) and is now able to run close to his 800m PB bodes well for World Indoors. Not sure how this bodes against Hocker in the 15 but if Hocker's tactics suck Nader can win again. CH has to run the 3k the day before so that might factor into it.

It’s not so much that I’m a fanboy as it is that you are a Hocker Hater. You are one of these guys who won’t give Cole a pass no matter what he achieves. It must be terrible to be so filled with envy for the Hawk Man. Nader doesn’t care about the 5k because he is a one trick pony and he knows he would suck at it. He didn’t take the crown from Cole, he’s not even good enough to lick Cole’s boots. Nader is a scrub kick one hit wonder. He can’t take the crown if the King wasn’t in the race. Nader benefited from the meet directors screwing Cole out of running the finals. Cole is not the top dog; he’s the Alpha Wolf of the pack and Nader is the mangy dog trailing behind. You are the one who is delusional because you are the most anti Cole numbskull on this site. You’ll be at home in tears when your boy Nader receives the whooping Cole is going to give him come World Indoors. I hear they have a therapy hotline you can call for those dealing with Cole Derangement Syndrome. Cole the Hawkman Hocker Cometh.

I wouldn’t exactly call 1.2s off his PB in the 800 that close. Just for perspective he ran 28:01 for a road 10K (massive PB) last winter on Jan. 4. To me it shows he is certainly training in the fall/winter but him getting 4th at World Indoors might have to do with him not getting to near his top level until outdoors. He shouldn’t be losing to Luke Houser. We’ll see I’m skeptical based on what we’ve seen.

it's hard to say if Luke Houser just had the best day in his career or if Nader sucked horribly. Nader certainly performed way better in Apeldoorn last year. Nader might just train through World Indoors this year or maybe he found a new level? There's still a month to go and a lot can change training wise.

Is this the same guy who says this basic thing constantly or are there others?

He had a bad day no doubt. He lost to Gourley who beat at European Indoors. Still in his career he’s been better outdoors by a major amount.

You sound like a loser in real life. I'm sure Cole would be embarrassed by the fact that you are disparaging Nader. You’re acting like I insulted Cole. I didn’t. I’m talking about results. You’re the one throwing tantrums and calling people scrubs. You keep hiding behind results in 2024 when in 2025, Cole didn't win a single 1500/Mile race. Not one. Being fit enough to run 3:45 indoors is impressive but dominance is measured by who wins races and sets records. If you go an entire season in your primary event without a win, you’re not the “alpha wolf.” Admit it, everyone, including myself, was extremely disappointed in the sour taste Cole left in everyone's mouth when he decided to barge through and get himself DQed. This is the deal, Cole is a contender trying to get back on top. Nader holds the crown. Habs, Koech, and Laros hold the consistency and fast times, Hocker holds neither. If he wants the crown back, he'll take it back on the track on March 21st if Nader competes or on September 13th in Budapest.
