He threw out the idea that not only would Lutkenhaus beat Josh Hoey right now at 800, but then put out the possibility Hoey never beats Lutkenhaus.
"Never" to me is absurd. Even if Lutkenhaus is at a higher level or has higher finishing speed there is variability in the 800 and Hoey is absolutely amazing. It's more likely to me Hoey breaks the outdoor world record than never loses to Cooper. But Jon even got Robert's logic. And I guess if Cooper is proven to be the greatest 800m runner ever or something like that, that would open up that avenue.
Rojo loves Cooper's speed. Having said that, Hoey set a 600 indoor world record.
Robert is directionally right about a lot of things (Olli Hoare won't beat Nuguse) but I think his "never" take is a bit extreme. I am very curious what happens with Lutkenhaus at USAs and World Indoors.
