Do you agree?
Head cases are often exciting, if by exciting one means drawing attention, like a train wreck draws attention. Sha’Carri drew a ton of attention, even when she wasn’t performing well, due to her histrionics. So yeah in that sense Gault has a point.
Who in the NCAA do you think is a more exciting runner than Marco Langon?
Honestly it’s kinda a tepid year. Habtom Samuel is really good but exciting? Nah he’s just strong and frontruns. Musau who has a strong kick and can be fun to watch is injured. None of the other Kenyans are notably fun to watch, many are better-suited for XC and the 10K. Rocky Hansen is fun to watch but injured/redshirting right? Gary Martins a good runner but again not much in the ways of change of gears/finish. So really it’s Marco or Kitchen honestly. Maybe Sahlman if he can improve his racing, though he might go 800.
The NCAA lost these guys: Kipkurui, Wolfe, Strand, and Green then a little bit of an injury bug with Hansen/Musau.

If falling over the line into people and losing an earring every time you race then doing your best Rocky Balboa meets Mike Tyson meets Lamar Jackson impersonation in the post race interview is your idea of exciting then I guess he’s the most exciting runner right now.

Marco was greatly missed during the cross country season. NCAA distance running is so much more exciting now that he's back!
He reminds me of that tiny kid from Florida that transferred to Smoky Hill HS when the Kaltenbachs were there. He thought he was a bada$$ and I think he thought he stood a chance with one of the sisters. He wasn't and he didn't. And he completely disappeared in college.

Ryan Deak? Marco is waaaaaayyyyyy better than Deak. Marco has already run faster than Prefontaine. You will remember Marco Langon's name.

The comparison to Prefontaine is completely flawed. Marco has no titles yet, of course he is running way faster it's 50 years later..FIFTY. Prefontaine was an all time winner who generally backed any hype talk , and certainly NEVER even like one of these interviews, let alone, 3 really bad look ones. He IS really really gifted, no doubt.

I should say Prefontane was an All Timer NCAA level winner.
