This seems like a good sign. Do we still see him return to racing this summer?
I mean, the ETA is he’ll be back to running fully by May, so probably not unless he wants to do a lowkey race in August-September but he shouldn’t rush anything honestly so it’s probably better if he didn’t. Who knows though.

Why is anyone remotely surprised by this? Jakobs whole.being is dedicated to maniacal training and this is where his drive needs tempering to avert transforming to weakness.
He would be better served retreating this year - including zero social media postings of his location or workouts - and dedicating himself to full recovery before blitzkrieg return at a very high level. I have no doubt this is possible for him but it requires a more mature mindset in dealing with chronic injury and long term rehab.
Peter Elliott did not run between the Olympic 15 final in September 1988 and a September 1989 low key return but he mastered his patient buildup to the 1990 Comm Games and was in the shape of his life by early 1990....including his gold, the 800PR and the legendary 2:45 1200 TT he ran in Auckland. He did this by reclusing and not being sucked into anything that didn't serve recovery and regaining form. This was before social media of course but an example to others of self discipline and aversion to premature return in support of long term goals.
Jakobs mental strength will be tested and its not about proving to the Internet he is back in training, wearing Alphaflys or whatever. Its about his successful and measured return to racing.
Jakob is sitting on a stationary bike with a boot on, in his posts. I don't think he's getting real training in. Just getting the blood flowing and muscles moving a bit. probably didn't break a sweat.

A romantic notion, but a recluse doesn't make enough money to buy luxury sports cars in 2026, especially when you are not racing. Social media posts to fulfill the Nike contract does.
