Calling all exercise physiologists:
The lab instructor of a kinesiology course I am taking has kindly offered to run me through a VO2 max test. The only problem is, the protocol she normally uses is for subjects from the general population, and isn't really challenging enough to get a good VO2 max reading on a competitive runner like myself (I run roughly 15:00 and 31:30). For instance, her protocol took 3 stages and 10 minutes just to get me to even the point where I was even breaking a sweat.
Does anybody know of a good protocol that she and I could use? Thanks folks.
