The Swede is a world-class runner (26:46 today in Valencia ) but I don't think he would have finished better than 8th (Ndikumenayo - top European) in the World Cross yesterday and possibly not better than 15th (Gressier) or even worse (20th) which may seem a strange statement for someone who ran 26:46 today but cross country, road racing and track are very different beasts and I don't think the Swede, with his significant muscular body and weight would have been at an advantage on that unusual course - not to mention the warm conditions which would not have helped either.
