I don't mean like being secretive, but more like are there parts of who you are that you don't share with your wife because you know she wouldn't understand or would react negatively? Or certain interests you have that your wife doesn't even try to humor you on at all? How big of a deal is it if you feel like there are parts of yourself you only really express or enjoy with people who aren't your spouse?

I think this is probably quite normal. In fact, I would argue that a man should take care in how vulnerable he appears to his wife. Regardless of what women may say, they really do not want their man to be too “emotionally available.” When a woman says this, what she really means is “I want a man who understands what I want and uses words that I like.”She does not mean “he is unafraid to share his inner fears.”
There are certain things you might share with other men, under the proper circumstances. Sharing problems with another woman is something you should do with great care, as it can open doors to inappropriate relationships.

Im definitely comfortable with telling my wife most things. But I wouldn’t say theres anything major I wouldn’t tell her. I mean if you’re not comfortable telling your wife why would you of picked her? Hopefully you have a friend you can lol

Marriage is an archaic custom. Skip it.
There are a lot of things. My wife has no interest in running so I don't share anything running-related with her whether it's training or watching and attending live meets. I have other interests that I spend time and money on that I don't share with her.
But she does the same with things I have no interest in. It's really pretty normal.
Everyone has different relationships. But I don't really feel the need to omit things from my wife.
she can usually tell if I'm unhappy about something. Better to be honest than to lie through omission. What's the point of getting married if you can't communicate 100%?

my wife got me hot bright pink run shorts for Xmas. I haven’t told her i don’t really like the colour. I feel like I need to explain my run short colour choice to my run group.
