    If you're going to World XC, you've got to come to the LetsRun party after the race.

    3-6pm on Saturday after the race @ The Township (619 S Woodward Ave)

    Great spot, lots of room and everyone in Tallahassee for World XC is welcome.

    (It's a bar, Supporters Club members get their free drink).

    If you know you're coming, please email me at the address below with how many people.

    The 3-6pm window gives you time to go the awards. If you're running the community races, you still can make it.

    Check this thread, as we may start earlier and do the LetsRun podcast live from The Township as well.

    Right now we've got the venue, are looking for a headcount, and any ideas on how to really celebrate the day. Club XC teams had better show up!

    Why are you hosting a party while the community races are happening?? I'm doing the 4K, which doesn't start until 3:20. This is what the schedule would be for me:

    3:20-3:35: do community race and collect medal

    3:35-3:50: do cooldown run, stretch, and return to car

    3:50-4:05: drive to hotel

    4:05-4:30: shower, change, and eat post-run snack at hotel (includes time walking from parking lot to hotel room, and from hotel room back to car in parking lot)

    4:30-4:45: drive to party vicinity

    4:45-5:00: look for parking, park, and walk from car to party venue

    5:00: arrive at party, two hours after it started (maybe more if you start the party even earlier)

    I've never been to a LetsRun party, and I was really looking forward to attending my first one as part of my trip to Tallahassee. Now I'm disappointed because the overlap between the party and the community races means I'm going to miss most of the party. :(

    I'm doing the 4km fun run too. I'm just hoping the schedule doesn't go long for this portion of the day.

    Think of this as a place for runners to just hang out.

    you don’t have to shower:) but an hour plus to hand out should work.

    This will end up being a total kielbasa fest of wrinkles and stilted conversations since no one wants to drop any clues as to their handle. I came to a Eugene meet up, lurked a few minutes, then turned around and left the McMenamins.

    I wish you, rojo, and Jonathan all did the community 4K race with your readers. Then we can all go out and party afterwards.

    WEJO is right. when i meet up with running friends for drinks, after a race, we don't go home and spruce up. at best, we do a quick change in our cars, into a warm up type outfit, and off we go. it's a party for runners and running friends. you're not gonna look out of place in your nike jogging outfit and matted down, sweaty hair.
