Broke 2:30....finally. Great weather, could not be better conditions. Crowds are insane!

#1 Tip Be patient and run the 2nd half faster, fun to pass those who went out way too hard.

I’ll be there next year to run sub 3!

Allow me to provide some valuable insight…oh wait, I also didn’t run.

I haven't been able to get in since I ran it in 2018 because of how they've changed the lottery system.

But I have a sacral fracture anyway.

I slept in.

I was seeing who's naughty or nice.

I hope you slapped all their asses as you passed

Goal time was something around 3:3x

But was alread tired when arriving at the starting line. Getting up at 4:00 am.

Midtown busses were a mess. Planned depature was 5:30 but we started around 6. Drove like 2 hours.

Then another hour waiting at security. Then rushing to the toilet, queing there and changing clothes at the village (mine was blue).

Then it was only 10 minutes until Wave 2 closed. Corral itself was good, much space and toilets.

After waiting another walk short walk to the bridge, hymn.

The start was so hard, uphill. Most of the course was full with people amazing atmosphere. Lots of drinks and fueling.

Pretty perfect temperatures.

I missed the hill training and paid for general lack of training so finished over 4 hours.

giuliani was overrated in retrospect, but decent enough. before he became a pathetic alcoholic who lost his mind, obviously.

bloomberg was fine.

deblasio sucked.

eric adams sucked, somehow even worse than you'd expect from corrupt ex-cop.

zohran will be okay.

Came in banged up and ran 2:4x after running mid 2:30s last year. Perfect weather but this course does not suit me for some reason--I've run Boston faster and enjoy the course much more than NYC.

The bridges are legit and come at inopportune times mentally--halfway, mile 16 and 20. 5th avenue feels like it goes forever. Would still recommend this race for any sub elite runner simply due to the fact that no matter what your time goal you will have hundreds of people around you to run with.

That is funny! But truthfully, I usually say "hang in there" to anyone that I pass. I will also add that about 3 of the runners that I passed were REALLY going in reverse and I'd guess that they were 2:20 pace and blew up big-time. I said "hang in there" to one of them and got what I would describe as the "F you"" look as he clearly wasn't happy running that slow with less than a mile to go----it looked quite painful.

My goal time was 2:25 but ended up running 2:32. My legs cramped up going into the Bronx so i had to jog it in. The course and the crowds were both great and we had perfect weather. I wore the Puma Fastr Nitro Elite 3. #1 tip stay focused on your race there are tons of distractions with everything going on in this city.

Ran a crap time and disgusted with myself. Perfect day, great weather, zero wind and unbelievable crowd. Course is no joke and beats you up. Some rest now and back to the grind.

I ran it very well. I cut crime dramatically and sparked the modern renaissance of peace and prosperity. Bloomie did a decent job after me. But then along came DeBlasio and Adams who ran NYC back into the ground. This next guy Mamdani will kill it off.
