She's easily the best runner in Ohio and probably one of the best in the country, but her school dropped from Division I to D-II this year. So she didn't even have Emily Infeld or Angela Bizzari to push her, just her teammate Cassandra Schenk.
Friday they win the 4x800 by almost 10 seconds. Saturday, she comes out and wins the 1600 in 4:56. 45 minutes later she gets pushed to a meet-record 2:11. The topper is she turns around 10 minutes later and breaks another meet record in 10:53. With Schenk taking close seconds in the 1600 and 3200 they win the state title on the efforts of two distance runners alone.
This doesn't quite top some of the things I saw Chris Nelloms do at the state meet 16 years ago, but I think i belongs in the same league.
