I believe Ronald Johnson already started a thread on this earlier. The only battery powered shoes I need are my own organs. When I was growing up in oklahoma nearly half a century ago, all the other runners and youth athletes just wore PF Flyers, which were popularized by Benny the Jet Rodriguez. Later on in my childhood, the Converse ALL Star was introduced but wasn't as popular. This was about the time Ovaltine commercials started, the fanner-50 cap gun commercial, and the wolf brand chili cowboy commercial came out.
This is just too futuristic for me.

Yes Ronald did start a similar thread bout an ‘our ago. Coach dahl, regarding your second point, I am wondering how you are able to stay at such an incredibly high elite level at your age (no offense). I have struggled with injuries over the past few years and they have kept me from running in college. any wisdom you might give me would be appreciated.

Thank you! I really appreciate your wisdom. most Ncaa coaches these days like to gatekeep their training plans so its refreshing that you’re so open about it. If I may ask, what exactly is the secret stretch and how do I execute it properly? Also, are your track sessions focused on threshold or more vo2max/speed?

Very interesting. I am interested to hear what your opinion on the new “norwegian double threshold method” training?
