I’m a collegiate distance runner: female, 5 foot 6.
My Dexa from last spring showed 13% body fat, 125 pounds total weight.
My Dexa done in summer on a new machine showed a huge increase to 18.9% body fat, but a lower 119 pounds total weight.
My training mileage has been similar except for less speed work/more threshold for xc. I eat generally clean but don’t track calories. I’ve been running really well (for me) this xc season.
I can’t see the added fat on my body visually at all when I try to compare photos. I don’t feel different when I run. I was wondering if I should still be concerned about the fat increase because it seems rather large on paper? I was wondering if other people have experienced similar?
