8.5km uphill with 1003 metres elevation gain. 1 hour 2 minutes. impressive. the winner ran 59 minutes.
How did y’all get down the hill?
the430miler was at the event waiting for the up/down event later in the afternoon and he was at the finish line of the uphill event, taking in the atmosphere, waiting on his motorbike. he offered me a lift down but the way he motioned me to the pillion seat behind him was a bit like those paedophile santa clauses you see beckoning children to sit on their knee in shopping centres. so i politely declined.
there was a shuttle van service but it was slow and not free so i jogged back down with a few other guys.
For one you'd prob have to live in Nepal.
Its nearly impossible to adjust unless you were raised at thst altitude.
I dont mind you bringing me up, but please keep in mind that ppl with autism do not understand sarcasm. Everything that I type on here is meant to be taken very very very seriously. I post here because I was told by my own coach that its my social responsibility to become a coach and help others because I have do much knowledge. If there are ppl on here that do not like my instructions or do not understand ppl who are different, then THEY need to hit the block button. But my existence here is not to joke or secretly snicker after typing things. My existence here is to help young uneducated ppl be better runners, and all of my posts are meant to be taken extremely seriously. I believe all ppl here should be required to post under their real legal name. Again, if theres something about my post that seems different, you are welcome to blame it on my autism which is very real, but nothing on i put on here is so I can secretly snicker behind your back. Its how I honestly feel about the world. There is one user on here, who may be an AI generated bot, who comes on about 20 seconds after my all posts (even nice, loving, positive ones) and makes declarations about how I want to maime and dismember a little girl in san antonio. Hes been doing that for about 2 years. At this point, I figure he's an AI bot or someone who parents never whopped his a**.
My next race is mount Shasta in ca.

Coach Dahl is right for once.
You don't earn much as a porter in Nepal. I don't know the exact sum but I can't imagine it's more than $10-15 per day. It's a entry level job to get into the tourism industry in Nepal. You as an English speaker would have an advantage because you could communicate with the tourists already. On the other hand, you don't speak Nepali and you would have a rough time to adjust to the rough conditions when you are portering.
But if you ever have the chance to go to Nepal, do it. Great people and fantastic mountains to hike around in. I am looking forward to be there in a month again.
