I know there are a couple other lengthy threads on this injury. But most of the injury threads on this board are dealing with people who don't know how to manage their injuries and take forever to heal them. I saw that one person delat with it for two years. Well, if it takes two years you are doing somehing wrong. I want to hear from someone who did it right and recovered within 6 weeks or so. I have taken off two weeks completely. I was walkin around fine. Yet, the pain returned when I resumed running. Now I'm in the process of taken another two weeks off with lots of stretching and medication. I also am starting a PT program next week. Unfortunately. most of the places start you out painfully slow and want to keep you for atleast 4 weeks. Are most doctors pretty compromising if you push for a cortizone injection? because I think that would be a huge help. I am completely devoted the month of June to recovery. I want to return to very esy runnign this July and bulid a good xc base for a breakthrough track season. When do you think I will return? Plaease offer advice if you have experience. Thanks
