OT: Other Sports: Are you following the Ryder Cup at all?

    I'm old and T&F/XC has been my favorite sport since early high school, almost 50 yrs ago. But before that I was a kid who watched baseball, basketball, football and even followed (and sometimes watched) a little golf, tennis and almost everything else.

    I don't follow golf year round, but I do get kinda intrigued by the majors each yr and the Ryder Cup every other yr ... which means reading about it, watching clips, tracking it online...

    Are you following the Ryder Cup at all? U.S. had a pretty bad morning sesh, but is rallying some this afternoon. I used to know more of the names in the 80s, 90s and 00s, but still interested to see how this plays out...

    I had it on earlier and shut it off. I used to love the event, I was at Brookline when Justin Leonard made that putt, but in today's climate I just can't watch it.

    The excessive patriotism just kind of grosses me out these days.

    Im the same as you. I watch majors and Ryder cup, that's about it. Scottie Scheffler is best in the world, but he cannot make a putt or a birdie at this ryder cup. He's handing Europe some of these holes.

    Scheffler is carrying on Tiger Woods’ legacy of being #1 in the world and useless at the Ryder Cup.

    Don't care to watch golf... despite the fact that it is crammed down our throats.

    I'll pay attention to who wins stuff because you can't help but hear about it...

    But what I hate most of all when I get in the car and put on a sports show expecting to hear about sports... and the radio hosts are discussing their weekend golf outing. I'll drive to where I'm going and all I heard about is their golf game... or where they ate... or some other frivolous personal story.
