They've had to shrink their yogurts in order to maintain their business model. They haven't been able to return the size to normal after years of this cutback.
The biggest reason I think they are a failure though is that they have been unable to expand their cafe business beyond Soho in NYC, Its been years and their cafe is hanging on, but clearly not profitable enough to open a single other store.
They continue to expand, so that bodes well for future success. They have also been very active in the philanthropic space, which usually gets trimmed if things aren't going well for a company. I guess we'll see. In the meantime, I still buy their larger containers. Single serve yogurts became cost prohibitive for me, regardless of the brand. Some are pure highway robbery. I bought a Skyr on a work trip recently that was like $4.99 for three bites.
A failure like LRC? Or not so bad?
