What does “hate” even mean? He was not above personal attacks to get a laugh or to make a “point.” I’d call that hating people, in action at the very least. Some people will spend all day calling their “opponents” names and then at the end the day say they don’t hate them. People think there’s some declaration you have to make or some form you have to sign before you officially hate someone.

Normal thoughts when a group tries to gun you down twice and successfully murders your friend. What is not to hate about this? it defines the word.

We should also look to see if there were any indications of Mr Trump showing any signs of being petty, vindictive, spiteful, and hateful prior to the heinous attempt on his life and the horrible murder of Mr. Kirk.

The "Sorry Erika" part is clearly insincere. Trump has no demonstrated capacity for feeling sorry for others.

It's also not clear that he truly hates his opponents so much as he finds it convenient to denigrate or destroy them and anything else that stands in the way of his self-glorification.

Trump loves Trump. Everything else is secondary.
