He looked pretty damn good for a guy working his way back into shape.
yeah, I thought he was in way worse shape than that. He looked way better than he did in both the 1500 and 5k heats. If he's healthy, I think he can go after the 5k and perhaps the mile WR next year.
It'll take a Herculean effort to come back.Remember it started with an injury for Tim too.
He just ran 13:02 off no training and heats in both 1500 and 5000, why would it take such a massive effort to come back?
Won't be easy. Only El G and Asbel Kiprop managed decade-long dominie of the 1500m. Already signs the last couple of years were his peak. Tell you what: The person to take a crack at El G's WR will be younger. Maybe Laros or Phanuel?

Actually, there’s are no signs at all that he has reached his peek. He ran his 3:26.73 PR last year and lost this year to an injury. He’s only 25 and it’s far from impossible for him to be as good as ever next year.

He broke the indoor 1500 and mile world record *in the same race* to start this season.

Age is just a number.
Crawling like that is bad sign for the future.
Even Aouita when he dropped at age 31/32, that because of lack of motivation because of new rising young talents.

Your first and third sentences contradict each other.
Crawling like that was a result of an injury and if he becomes healthy again, he’ll return to his previous levels. Do you not believe Kerr can comeback from his injury?
