Bruh I see everyone talking about how Noah should’ve let off the gas in the semis. What?! Is it really THAT much harder and more taxing for a sprinter to run a fraction of a second faster? which yes I get a fraction of a second goes a lot farther in 100m than 10K but… it’s only a bit more effort right? Because it’s such a short amount of distance anyway that going 100% effort for a couple seconds at the end of a race rather than 97% for a couple of seconds at the end of a race shouldn’t actually negatively affexr you right?
I mean I would not feel a difference in how recovered 24 hours after I raced a 5k if my closing 100m was 15 or 14, so why does it actually make a difference for sprints?
