The record is 1:21.73, held by Mary Moora. This record is significantly weaker than the 400m record, as one would expect. There are others who could possibly get this record, but Sydney could for sure.
Based on multiplier I use, I'd predict maximum time of 1:17.3. Given that SML has no experience beyond 400m I don't think it would be that fast but I definitely think she could break the WR and maybe 1:20,

I’m not great on conversions, but I know that Quincy Wilson was running 1:17 for 600m during the indoor season and then ran 44’s for the 400. I think 1:17 would be tough for SML

I agree she could break this record tomorrow if she wanted to. It would be shocking if the 600m record was motivation enough to get SML on a track, though.
I would love to see someone take down Johnny Gray’s 600 record. Credit to Gray for putting up a solid mark, but I find these ancient off-distance records irksome as the years roll by…Wohlhuter’s 2:13.9 American Record comes to mind.

I know the multiplier I use is not really applicable to someone world class and is maybe more accurate for distance runners than sprinters. That's why I said maximum time. I don't think she'd be anywhere near 117. 52/28 => 1:20 seems reasonable though.

We have at least two guys who could have taken down Wohlhuters record this year had they given it a serious shot. Maybe with next year being an off year we'll see a serious attempt at it.
We have several guys right now who could all get Gray's 600 record. Didn't Hoey run 1:13 at the end of a workout? Hell, I think even Cooper could take a serious shot at it next year. The issue is that I really can't remember the last time a top-10 ranked US runner ran an outdoor 600.
I'm really excited for the "ultimate championship" next year. With no US championships we're gonna see a great story through the diamond leagues with amazing fields as well.
