Started running again 2 months ago after a 6 year lay-off (I am 30). Trying to ramp it up for some fast 5k's by the end of the summer... First 5k off of no training was in 21:40, and yesterday after 2 months of running got it down to 18:25 on a pretty hilly course... Hoping to get it down to 15:30 by September...
Do I have a shot?
I am trying to get back on the track next winter for some fast times as well... but I just don't know where I will be fitness-wise... anyone else come back after a 5+ year absence from the sport? (I was a 1:49XX/ 3:48XX ... 25:10 8k guy in college).
