Pretty much unbeatable with a close like that. Maybe Kipyegon could close like that but I'm not sure.
Battocletti closed in 27.71 and it was no contest the final 200m.

Yeah - best kick and WR times (so won’t get dropped). Can’t beat her
Nadia BATTOCLETTI
Only genes can beat East African.
Same go for Audrey Werro, Suisss medias see on her a future boss of Middle Distances.
Just look at her face, she is frightening ..
And that was not every single ounce of energy she had. Imagine the split if she'd pushed as hard as Hocker did in the Paris 1500m. I think that we will see something close to that in the 5k final. Or at least I hope we do.
On another note: crazy fast close from Battocletti. Holy sh*t. Demolished Tsegay and Ngetich. I cannot wait to see how much she can improve on her Paris 5k performance.
I am glad you pointed this out. I knew the winning time was 30:37, so I was astonished when I saw her go through the 9800m mark at 30:10. What is the fastest ever last 200m in a women's race of any distance? This just cinches it in my mind that Chebet is doping beyond belief. She closed around 28s in Paris in the 10, where she beat Battocletti by only 1/10th of a second.
What could she run for 800m? Seems like sub 1:57 would be possible.

Flojo ran the last 200 in 21.34.

We’ve recently been through a version of this. I was a loud proponent of her going <3:50 over 1500m; but she thoroughly proved me wrong, managing 3:54.

For reference:
Chebet - in a race 1:43 off the WR - closed in 27.21
Gressier - in a race 2:44 off the WR - closed in about 26
