The thread title, didn't initialy have D'Amato's last name in it. The NY Times article states the following: "Real life is full of loose ends, and that message was underscored for Ms. D’Amato when, a few months after she finished writing the book, her marriage ended.
Moving forward, we are going to require registration to post in this thread. Remember, it's quite possible the people you are writing about will read what you write.
I had to figure it out first myself. They wouldn’t answer me. Her last name is D’amato. Not sure why this is anyone’s business.
This is a running website. If you don't know who Keira D'Amato is, what are you doing here?
I know more about the sport than you ever will. She wasn’t identified. I never said I never heard of her. I don’t follow who she fuccs. It is not my business.

100%. Not using her full name while simultaneously linking to a paywalled post is vague-posting garbage that offers no value to the people reading the post.
She is nowhere near famous enough to be referred to by one name.

Keira's comeback was awesome. However, due to her age her pro career is about to see it's sunset. Maybe she could set some masters records. Maybe she can run 106/219 again in the next couple years for a swan song, but I doubt it.
sounds like this is all Keira-driven. Does she really think she’s really going to get the American record back? Based on what data?
That sucks.
You're right, she's not getting the record back. She had a fantastic career, but at 41 your priorities are supposed to change.
I wouldn't call it a career. I'd call it a flash in the pan.
The article barely says anything, but Tony's Facebook post said she dropped the bomb right after they moved to Park City. Sucks.
I feel like instead of pretending she has a "career" to salvage she should be transitioning into being and run-fluencer girlie shilling her book and merch.
All of her fan girlies love the D'Amato fam -- remember when they did those Oreo taste challenges? It's a big part of what catapulted her as every middle-aged-suburban-mom's favorite marathoner.
