I do not know what to do. I will start from the begining. During track last year I had shin splints that I didnt take care of and they got really bad and I think they turned into a stress reaction. So on June 15th I ended my season and took 3 weeks off running. Then In July I slowly started building back as my leg felt better. Zero pain walking or running and zero pain jumping on one foot but I did notice when i pressed directly on the spot on my shin there was still some pain. So I keep building and near the end of August I eventually build up to 90 miles. But I start to noitice a ton of pain when touching the area. I was still running pain free for a bit but Intense pain to press. I have dropped my mileage to 50 and now in my past few runs I have noiticed my shin does hurt in the middle of the runs. I know I will most likely have to take more than a month off running for this to heal. I am getting a MRI soon and seeing my physio. But when do I call it so I dont get a stress fracture. Ideally I want to keep running till the 25th so I can at least do one race. Should I drop my mileage even more. Currently it hurts while running but not as much as in June and it hurts to jump on one foot and a ton of pain to touch the spot. Can I make it to the 25th or is it risky?
