These vanity "medicines" have all sorts of side effects that seem to be more trouble that they are worth.

Those hair ones also screw up your hormone levels in some cases. No way I would mess with that, especially now that more research is coming out about how precarious our hormone balance is when healthy.

Hair transplant plus a DHT inhibitor like dutasteride.

Maybe consider getting a prescription for finesteride. I assume it has a different set of side effects.

As a runner, why would you take a potent antihypertensive? If you actually need a blood pressure med, there are lots of better ones out there. If you don't and you're just using it for your hair, then you're basically accepting lots of negative effects out of vanity.

Minoxidil increases blood flow by some sort of calcium ion channel or something like that.

i immediately get headache, dose-dependently, in my scalp, where and precisely when I apply it.

Of course it will have these kinds of effects. Likewise, cialis and viagra will cause headache, flushing, sniffles, lightheadedness, muscle pumps (low back, calves, anywhere), and for me, an uncomfortable swelling in my knee capsule, where I have chondromalacia.
