I have four of them in the kitchen junk drawer. Way in the back behind the shoe gu that I never used. Wondering how to replace the battery locked inside. Probably time to throw them out.
I've taken mine to a local jewelry store and they've replaced the battery for I think $10.

had no idea nike made watches... Timex's are kinda considered out of date for running watches since everyone's caught up with the GPS and other cool things. Nothing wrong with a timex, though you could've just gotten one online.

Used an Timex Ironman for like 10 years. Had the battery replaced a few times. Never let me down. GPS is handy, but every now and then I think I about going back to simpler times.

Also, I think learning to run and train with a simple stopwatch like that has some advantages over GPS. I was very comfortable improvising and focusing on effort while not worrying about pace or distance too much. It's a good skill to have.
Over analyzing GPS and cadence and HR data can hinder your ability to truly run by feel. I roll my eyes when someone's been training for 1 year and is going on about HR zones.

I paid a few hundred so I can look at a made up lactate threshold heart rate and told I have a high aerobic shortage during a base phase.

Exactly. I am plugged into the instantaneous metaverse through many other device types. I never converted to GPS watches as a runner, however. Just shocked at the response today.
The Times Ironman was one of the greatest running watches ever made. Don’t let your sustain for such a fine functioning timepiece be your downfall.
Also, I do not have a STRAVA account. I think there is a training complex that arises out of the runner's relationship with training data and records.
