I missed out on the whole "college experience". I lived at home and barely attended class because I hated the place and was also depressed. But I graduated with a first in physics (like a 4.0 GPA).

Nope I had a great college experience. A lot of that was because I ran xc and track.
I lived at home my first two years because I was broke. I didn't have much of a social life and missed out on a lot.
I lived on campus the last two years and made a ton of new friends and had a great time.
I'd guess living at home was the problem.

The best part of college is living in a mini-city populated by only other people your age - most with high openness and enthusiasm. You walk everywhere. You eat meals together. It’s great.
Living at home - while practical and understandable - removes almost all of that. It’s just another round of high school but you’re probably on campus even less time.
hi, David45!
The "college experience" usually means promiscuity, killing brain cells with partying, and being brainwashed by the radical left. Those idiots may get a degree, but they destroy their souls. Your soul is still intact. You win.
