Watching from home? That means she decided to pull out days ago.
That's correct, she decided to pull out several days ago. But she only entered the meet a week or two ago, so that means she pulled out almost as soon as she entered. Kersee's weirdness strikes again.
That's disappointing. To be fair, she hasn't pulled out of a meet in a long time. She certainly shouldn't be expected to race in a low-key meet with a high fever.

That's what the meet published in their Instagram post:
The Ed Murphey Classic, Memphis’ premier track and field event, showcasing world-class, Olympic-level track and field competition, announced today that Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone will not compete this evening at the Ed Murphey Classic competition due to a high fever. McLaughlin Levrone and her team decided it was best to rest and focus on her health in preparation for the 2025 Toyota USATF Outdoor & Para National Championships taking place July 31-August 3, which also serves as the qualifying competition for the World Athletics Championships later this year in Tokyo, Japan.

Unable to get a guarantee of not being actually tested, Kersee pulled her out.

That makes no sense. Sydney pulled out several days ago. That's why she didn't even make the trip to the meet. Do you mean to tell me Sydney has had a high fever for the last 5 days? Give me a break. Another lie from Kersee.

Where did you get 5 days from? You don’t know when she pulled out. You’re just speculating.

Of course she pulled out several days ago. She didn't even bother to make the trip to the meet. And she would have had a high fever before that in order to cancel her flight. It's a completely made up excuse, not the first time from Kersee, won't be the last time.
She ran three grand slams, pre, and would have run a 4th grand slam if it didn't get canceled. She's done more than enough this year in my book, I don't really care that she pulled out of this meet.
The moment she pulls out, you owe to the fans to announce it. It it possible she did pull out today and the statement is just poorly worded. Watch the meet from home means hotel room or something?

No, she wouldn't have gone to Pre if GST LA would have happened, so it would have still just been the 4 meets. It's sad that you consider 4 meets, trials and Worlds "more than enough this year" for a professional athlete, but I guess that's where we're at now ...
